KETEK launched a next VITUS SDD generation with new low-capacitance FET leading to a significantly improved energy resolution of less than 139eV at peaking times as short as 1µs. This is a gain in FWHM of about 20eV compared to the previous VITUS SDD generation. The new FET will be standard for all detector sizes from 7mm² to 80mm² active area. Furthermore, the low-capacitance FET version exploits a very large thermal budget of the SDD module: Even at very high heat sink temperatures of up to +80°C an energy resolution better than 150eV at 1µs peaking time can be achieved with no secondary cooling.
