The so far most complex Mars rover “Perseverance” equipped with a PIXL unit powered by KETEK VITUS SDDs has safely landed on Mars on February 18th at 12:55 p.m. PST.
The Planetary Instrument for X-ray Lithochemistry (PIXL) gives the scientists the possibility to detect and analyze the chemical elements in the collected samples with much higher precision compared to previous missions.
