What does the term “overvoltage” refer to?

Overvoltage ist the voltage above the breakdown voltage of an SiPM. E.g. in the case of PM3325-WB, the breakdown voltage is 25.5 V. We specify operation up to an overvoltage of 5 V, which in that case would result in an operating voltage of 30.5 V.
