The VITUS Standard modules are encapsulated with a nickel cap and low pressure nitrogen filled. Energy resolutions range from 139eV for the VITUS H7 to 160eV for the H80 module.
The achievable cooling performance is a Delta T of 55K which results in typical SDD operation temperatures of -35°C at an ambient temperature of 20°C.
Our Premium Class SDD's offer state of the art energy resolution values down to 129eV and below at 5.9 keV. Detectors with Be window are fully evacuated and offer a superior cooling performance achieving a Delta T of > 75K. The specified minimum FWHM can therefore be guaranteed even at ambient temperartures up to 40°C which is especially important for portable spectrometers.
Premium Class versions with AP3.3 low energy window feature high performance KETEK SDD's (FWHM < 129eV) which are encapsulated with a low pressure nitrogen filling.
