Slim-line Component
For applications with special space contraints KETEK has developed the unique slim-line component.
Making use of the hexagonal detector shape, this slim-line setup allows the configuration of multi element detector arrays to achieve detection areas never realized before.

Large-area Customized VITUS SDD Arrays

The picture shows a detector array assembled by 6 single 100 mm² VITUS SDD slim-line components. While a 7th detector component can be easily added in the centre to achieve an even larger detection area, the centre hole can also be used for passing a capillary or an x-ray or ion beam.
The separate single cell components prevent any kind of crosstalk betrween the individual detectors. Additionally, if a cell should fail, a relatively cheap and convenient exchange of a single detector is possible. Also available from KETEK is the complete front-end electronics for such arrays.
